Trip Review: Everything was perfect. It was an absolutely marvelous journey, and we're so grateful for all your help in arranging it. The quality of service we received was truly impressive and professional.
Most Memorable Moment: The cheetah chasing down a Thompson's gazelle right before our eyes.
Advice For Future Clients: Expect the unexpected!

Trip Review: The highlights were definitely the two safaris. Cape Town was also nice, but due to some unforeseen circumstances, wasn't what it could have been.
Most Memorable Moment: Seeing the wildlife at the Safaris. Also, the dinners in Cape Town were nice.
Advice For Future Clients: This is more than one word, but do your research and talk to others who have done the trip in the past.

Most Memorable Moment: See animals on safari, and so close!
Advice For Future Clients: Private land safaris are the way to go. Give a lot of time to enter ZIM, the customs line took about 2 hours- make sure you know to bring cash to pay as they do not accept credit cards and don't have ATMs.

Trip Review: Victoria crafted the perfect expedition to Kenya and Rwanda. She listened to our wants and desires and met them all.
Most Memorable Moment: A chance tender reunion of a male lion and lioness at the end of a day.
Advice For Future Clients: Strongly recommend Victoria at African Portfolio.

Trip Review: What an amazing trip, from start to finish! The service was exceptional, the lodgings over-the-top beautiful, and the coordination between the events were flawless. African Portfolio is absolutely the way to go for an amazing adventure in Africa. The diverse activities and the incredible support for them provided a worry-free vacation that we'll never forget.
Most Memorable Moment: There were so many - like seeing a leopard and cheetah in the wild... the glorious lions, and all the other African fauna. We were not allowed to approach the Gorillas or other primates, but if they approached you, we were cautioned to step away if we could. But, the proximity of the primates was astounding. I especially liked when the guides provided us two linguistic Gorilla phrases that they encouraged us to learn *before* approaching the Gorillas (one for "calming and non-threatening" and the other for "warning-go away"). And sure enough, we actually witnessed these gorilla sounds in action and felt we truly engaged with them and they with us. Amazing ...
Advice For Future Clients: Bring plenty of 20's, 10's, 5's and 1's ... make sure you go over tipping in detail with your coordinator.

Trip Review: It was a magical experience. All the people we met were wonderful. I would recommend it. I plan on going back to Africa!
Most Memorable Moment: Two baby kittens.
Advice For Future Clients: You better be in shape to be able to handle hours on very bumpy roads.

Trip Review: I thought African Portfolio attended to every detail. There was a small lack of communication in Victoria Falls, but in the end our transportation arrived, and all went well.
Most Memorable Moment: Two things. The scenery at Moremi was just lovely. I loved the big trees, and the contrasting pans, and savannahs. I also just loved the walking safaris. The animals were wonderful of course, and there were many special moments viewing animals, but those are the things you expect, or hope to see.
Advice For Future Clients: Talk to all of the employees, the cooks, the bar tenders, wait staff, housekeeping, etc., not just the guides. Ask them about their families, and once you do that, your interactions will be much more personal, and maybe you’ll learn something.

Trip Review: This was an incredible trip! Victoria's recommendations were all on point for us and I appreciate how carefully she noted our interests during the planning process. Travel could not have been smoother and all of our accommodations were exceptional. I want to say this was a once in a lifetime trip, but hopefully we will be fortunate enough to return to Africa with our son one day.
Most Memorable Moment: There is nothing like staring into the eyes of a leopard in my opinion. That is something that I will absolutely never forget.
Advice For Future Clients: Soak it all in!

Trip Review: Yvette made my dream come true!
Most Memorable Moment: Went out for our first 5:30 am drive - came back for an unbelievable breakfast - went to the little pool to relax and regroup - while hanging in the pool we watched a herd of elephants march down for a drink at our watering hole - mommas and babies etc. I put on Lion King music and yes I actually shed a few tears - happy tears.
Advice For Future Clients: Talk to Yvette and then let her plan your dream.

Most Memorable Moment: The Maasai village visit at Tortilis, the Maasai dance at the sun downer at Elephant Pepper, driving parallel to "growling" lion.
Advice For Future Clients: Pack light, know the temperature change from location to locationl

Trip Review: Incredible adventure for our honeymoon. Susan created the perfect itinerary for Tanzania.
Most Memorable Moment: Witness a successful lion hunt.
Advice For Future Clients: Tanzania is an incredible safari destination. Recommend tagging on another fun destination on the continent like Victoria Falls.

Trip Review: Exceeded our expectations!
Most Memorable Moment: Hard to choose. Chasing down wild dogs while they were on the hunt in Kambaku or having two male lions come right up to the truck at Dulini.
Advice For Future Clients: No need to overpack; I over thought the clothes we would need. We ended up wearing the same clothes / casual and constantly in layers from warm to cold temps.
