The next two nights are spent in Swakopmund, at the Strand Hotel for 2 nights. This seaside resort town, is a quirky mix of German and Namibian influences, and a great base for your Living Desert tour, learning about how nature has adapted to these arid conditions. From Swakopmund, you'll fly to Twyfelfontein for 3 nights at Onduli Ridge, set amongst the dramatic rock outcrops of the region. The name ‘Twyfelfontein’ translates to ‘Fountain of Doubt’, which refers to the perennial spring situated in the impressive Huab Valley flanked by the slopes of a sandstone table mountain. The next morning you set off on a scenic 3 hour drive to Virunga, certain to lift your spirits which will be soaring by the time you check in to your Lodge situated against the backdrop of the Virunga Mountains. On Day 3, in the same rainforest that Dian Fossey had her ground breaking encounters with with gorillas, you will get up close and personal with the rare mountain gorilla. Southern Tanzania

Enjoy an itinerary that encompasses some of the country's most remote wildlife destinations and the opportunity to enjoy a quieter, more traditional safari experience in a more untamed Africa. This 11 night itinerary begins in the country's vibrant capital on the shores of the Indian Ocean. From there continue to Ruaha, Tanzania’s largest national park. This vast landscape, about the size of New Jersey, is home to ten percent of Africa’s lions and the region's highest population of elephants, in a landscape dotted with baobabs, palm trees and kopjes. Enjoy sightings of some of the most striking antelope - greater kudu with their vast spiralling horns, or perhaps roan and sable. Wild dog and leopard are also regularly spotted. The next stop is Katavi, home to large animal herds, including Cape buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, and elephant. The dry season and the resulting mudholes make for an entertaining sight, as they can be packed with hundreds of hippos. The itinerary ends in the Selous Game Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Africa’s largest game reserve - roughly three times the size of the Serengeti. Its lush landscapes are dominated by the river and a chain of lakes that make for excellent wildlife watching. As a reserve rather than a national park, it allows walking safaris, boat trips and fly-camping as well.

Zambia Bush Adventure

This bush adventure harkens back to yesteryear, offering a traditional safari featuring an outstanding wildlife experience in simple, comfortable accommodations. You'll be met at Lusaka airport and transfer by air to Kafue National Park, the country's oldest national park. This area is home to an abundant variety of wildlife, including lion and leopard. Musekese Camp is set close to the Kafue River. Activities are split between walking, boating and driving. Additionally, there is also a hide on the opposite bank of the river overlooking a flooded dambo area which provides wonderful opportunities for those guests keen on photography. The adventure continues with a short flight down to the Lower Zambezi for a further 4 nights at Kutali camp. The region is home to a diverse array of wildlife including elephant, hippos, crocodiles, zebra and antelope as well as a myriad of birdlife. Kutali is tucked away amongst the Winterthorn trees, there are 5 tents which have been designed to make the most of the Lower Zambezi environment – they are simple gauze tents with canvas drop down sides, which blend into nature. There is an en-suite bathroom with bucket showers and flushing loos. Enjoy bush walks and canoeing in addition to game drives on the banks of the mighty Zambezi river. Evenings are spent trading stories around the campfire.

This 11 day / 10 night Primates and Wildlife safari, traveling through Uganda combines a variety of primate encounters-from gorillas to chimpanzees to golden monkeys-with game viewing and a visit to the local Batwa community. The first 2 nights are spent in Entebbe exploring Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary and seeing Chimpanzees up close in their natural environment. Your journey continues as you travel to Kibale in southern Uganda visiting the Kibale Forest National Park home to chimpanzees as well as 12 other primate species. Activities include Chimpanzee trekking and a guided walk through the Bidgodi swamp. Next up is game viewing as you travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park with a chance to see the rare Ugandan cob along with elephants and buffalo. Then it’s on to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a region of volcanoes, jagged valleys, waterfalls, lakes and dramatic mountain ranges. Here you’ll stay at Bwindi Lodge offering dramatic views of the impenetrable forest and a great place to spot the monkeys and birds hidden in the foliage. This will be your base for two nights where on the second day you will experience a unique encounter with the mountain gorillas as you trek through the dense forest. Your primate adventure continues with a drive through the forest to Mount Mgahinga National Park where you’ll stay at the Volcanoes Mount Gahinga lodge. Nestled at the base of the Virunga Volcanoes you will have a chance to enter the forest in search of the endangered Golden Monkey followed by spending time with the local Batwa community and experiencing their culture and stories firsthand.

Rafiki Safari

This 5 day Uganda Gorilla Safari starts with an overnight in Entebbe. The following day you will fly to Kihihi the closest airstrip to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This is a region of volcanoes, jagged valleys, waterfalls, lakes and dramatic mountain ranges. Mahogany Springs is situated in one of the most intimate, secluded, beautiful and most importantly natural settings in the world and it's just a few minutes away from the gorilla tracking starting point. This will be your base for 3 nights and where you can experience a unique encounter with the mountain gorillas. Sit in the forest among the gorillas, listening to them ‘talk’ to one another, and marvel at the sheer size of the dominant male, the Silverback. This 5 day Uganda Gorilla Safari starts with an overnight in Entebbe. The following day you will fly to Kihihi the closest airstrip to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This is a region of volcanoes, jagged valleys, waterfalls, lakes and dramatic mountain ranges. And it is here, on a flat ridge high in the forest, that Sanctuary's Gorilla Forest Camp is tucked away. This will be your base for 3 nights and where you can experience a unique encounters with the mountain gorillas.
