Your journey in Tanzania begins with one night at Hamerkop House, where you will be able to relax and adjust to Africa time, with Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro offering a dramatic backdrop. From Arusha, your wildlife adventure gets underway as you travel with your private vehicle and guide to Tarangire National Park, and its famed giants - the large herds of elephant and the iconic baobabs - as well as an excellent concentration of wildlife. You will enjoy 2 nights at Mpingo Ridge and the beautiful valley views. The journey continues with a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, its dramatic landscapes, excellent birding and tree climbing lions, before you continue to the Ngorongoro Crater for 2 nights. Your time at the Lemala Ngorongoro Tented Camp includes a full day excursion into the crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and its own access point into the crater allows you to get a head start before the crowds arrive! You will travel, by air, to the world famous Serengeti with time at two camps, Nanyukie and Kuria Hills. This will maximize your chances of seeing one of nature’s greatest phenomena, the migration, as millions of wildebeest and zebra follow the sweet grasses, and the resulting predator interactions. With its excellent year round wildlife, you will also enjoy excellent daily game viewing. The itinerary concludes as you return to Arusha, for lunch and last minute shopping, before continuing to Kilimanjaro airport for your homeward travels.

Lemala Ngorongoro is intimately set in a delightful ancient acacia forest close to the rim of the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. As it is located next to the quiet Lemala crater access road on the eastern side, a key advantage of staying at Lemala Ngorongoro is the quick and easy drive down on to the crater floor in the morning; Lemala guests usually have an hour’s head start over others descending via the far busier Seneto crater access road on the western rim. Game drives from camp may start as early as 6.15am and guests can be down among Ngorongoro’s abundant wildlife on the floor within 10-15 minutes – crucial for photographers who demand the best light conditions. The rich acacia-dotted plains of the Eastern Serengeti are home to abundant wildlife. Lemala Nanyukie is located just outside of the Seronera circuit allowing for some private game viewing but in reach of the world famous Seronera area famous for its large concentration of cats and resident wildlife due to its abundance of water in the many rivers. Additionally, between April and June, and again between November and January, this area is crossed by the annual wildebeest migration, which always provides a thrilling wildlife spectacle. Lemala Nanyukie, has an immense Lounge and bar area that has a variety of inside and outside seating. The inside lounge areas offer lots of discreet hideaways to retreat too.
